X Rally 2010
- The dates are July 7th thru 11th.
Get your reservations in!! We are getting
close and you do not want to miss out on this fantastic event! If
you have not confirmed your reservation at the Downtown Motel please
call Cindy or Dale as soon as possible. They do have one more room
available so call them for availability. They need
confirmations in the next week so they can make the rooms available to
other members who plan on attending. If you have not confirmed
your room please do it ASAP. You can contact Dale or Cindy at the
Downtown Motel (507) 665-6246. If you call America’s Best in
Albert Lea for a July 7th reservation mention the
Excelsior-Henderson Riders Club and ask for the cooperate rate.
Albert Lea Ride – Chuck spoke with Brian from
Northstar Power Sports in Albert Lea. They have changed their facility
since the roof cave-in from the snow this last winter and now have an
atrium/space between two buildings. They have a marine sales
building and a motorcycle sales and repair building with an atrium
between which is where we will be meeting this year. Where we met
in the past years is where the marine building is now located. So,
look for the Rally group between the two buildings when you arrive on
July 7th.
Ken Bretz is
finalizing the Friday Poker Run. More details to follow.
Saturday’s ride is being planned by John Jones. It was suggested
that maybe we could join Andy’s commemorative ride but that is scheduled
for July 24th (the weekend after Barbeque Days).
On Thursday night we
will be having our next Pioneer Chapter meeting at the Motel at 7:00PM.
Anyone who wishes to attend can meet us in front near the trailer.
After that we will have entertainment provided by a Twin Cities
Folk/Blues singer (Rena Haus) and her band.
Please remember that
we will not be having any competitions this year. If you wish to
have a dyno test run on your bike, please contact John Jones to arrange
it. We will give out one prize to the Excelsior- Henderson rider
that RIDES their bike the furthest to arrive at the Rally.
This year we will be
making a donation to the Le Sueur Food Shelf on behalf of the Pioneer
Chapter members. We will also pass around the hat on Saturday to
see if anyone wants to contribute to the cause before we present to the
organization.
The Officers of the
Pioneer Chapter are excited to meet both our old and new friends at this
year’s Rally. We will endeavor to ensure that everyone has a safe
and enjoyable experience.
If you have any
further questions regarding the Rally please email or call me.

On a personal note, I am hoping to get some
assistance from the Pioneer Chapter members to design, donate and/or
wrench an E-H motorcycle so I can ride again at some point. Most
of you are aware that I am in a wheelchair as a result of a motorcycle
accident on July 11th, 2002. I am now on SSDI and
unable to purchase a bike but long for the day when I can be on the road
again with all of my motorcycle friends. If you have any interest
in participating in this endeavor let’s discuss it at the Rally. I
am hoping to at least have a firm design possibility on the table by the
end of the Rally. Thanks so much in advance, Teri.
