Pioneer Chapter Meeting

Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.
Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward was not present so Randy Schwandt gave an abbreviated financial report. All is well at this time.
Membership Report - John Jones reported that we currently have 66 members. There are seven pending on PayPal. If you haven’t paid membership dues for 2009, due it now it’s still only $20. Old Business
Flashlights – LED flashlights are the member gift for 2009. Randy handed them out to the members present. They really look great and will be nice to have on board for any evening riding.
2009 - X Rally X - July 8-11, 2009
Rally Logos for t-shirts and trophies were discussed. It was decided to go with Randy Schwandt’s X Rally X idea on the front and Mike Hamann’s Bones and X on the back of the t-shirts and with Randy’s X Rally X for the trophies. We will want to match the fonts for the front and backs of the t-shirts. We still need to decide what trophies will be given out this year.
Rally Bar Pins have arrived and I will give them to Randy at the next meeting.
Notices about the Rally have been sent to four online publications along with MN Motorcycle Monthly and Motorcycle Consumer News. Grant Harsin will check to see if we can get the Rally announced on some radio stations.
Rules for the Bike Show – John Jones and Phil Ward still haven’t met but will develop something and bring it to the next meeting.
Trailer and Tent - Doc Jones will provide a trailer to use as an office for the Rally and will talk to Dale at the LeSueur Motel about having a tent there for our use.
Rally Fees have been set. Pre-registration will be $40 or registration on site will be $45. If you are a member, you will get a $5 discount. The Daily Rate will be $20.
Wednesday at Albert Lea and Thursday Ride to Le Sueur – Brian Berhow has been contacted and is looking forward to us being at North Star Power Sports again this year. For Thursday we are looking into making a stop at the SPAM Museum in Austin and then on to Le Sueur.
Entertainment at the Le Sueur bars was discussed. The bars will be contacted.
Friday Poker Run is being planed by Ken Bretz again. Ken checked and Waz had already made a reservation so we will be going back to Whiskey River after the Poker Run.
Saturday Activities - 10th Anniversary Ride – we have about a 6 hr slot for this ride on Saturday. In this timeslot we need to allow for lunch also. We are looking for a good destination within about a 60-70 mile radius of Le Sueur for this Ride. Let us know if you have an idea. The Dyno Shootout will be At John’s Repair starting at about 3 PM. The Bike Show will be near the bars downtown. Dinner will be at 6 PM. We discussed the possibility of having a Community Food Shelf drive as a donation to the community while we are at Le Sueur.
The Le Sueur Downtown Motel only had 30 rooms left for the Rally so if you’re interested call Dale at 507-665-6246. We will arrive there July 9th.

Nils says his black short sleeved t-shirts will cost $25 and his long sleeved white t-necks will cost $45. You can go on the www.ehridersclub.com site to see information about the Swedish “10 Years On The Road” Rally and the shirts Nils has for sale. You should send him an e-mail if you want to order any of his shirts.
There was talk about an Excelsior-Henderson Road Crew 10 Year Reunion during our X Rally X. We discussed having a separate mailing to all former E-H employees.

Pioneer Chapter Owned Super X Tools - Buck Bailey has the Pioneer Chapter owned tools and they are available for use by any of our members. Just contact him at bailey@integra.net or 952-440-9989.
