Director Randy Schwandt brought the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward

• Phil Ward reported the club is in good financial condition. We are a little better off than last year. We received membership dues and paid the website and PayPal fees this last month.

Membership Report – John Jones

• 2008 Membership - John Jones - 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN 56058-4361 is our membership chairman, duc88825@hotmail.com, 507-665-4062. John reported membership at 67. Since memberships run from January through January, we’re well into the 2008 membership year. Please send your $20 yearly dues to John, or renew at our website.

Rally 2008

• Motel - Phil Ward reported all but one of the rooms at the Downtown Motel in Le Sueur are reserved. The remaining room is a queen bed No Smoking room. Contact Phil directly if you want this room. pjward1707@hotmail.com or 507-281-2278.
• Venue -The Downtown Motel in Le Sueur is going to be our base for the Rally this year. Doc Jones will be checking to see if the two parks are available during the Rally. We’ll keep these as options if we run into snags with the tent.  We’ll keep these options in mind for discussion at upcoming meetings if we run into snags with the tent.
• Albert Lea - Brian Berhow at NorthStar PowerSports (507) 373-9000 will be having a welcoming party again for the Rally attendees on Wednesday July 9th. Brian has reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada - 2306 East Main St. - (507) 373-6471. This is where we have the evening party. Mention the “NorthStar PowerSports” when you call to reserve your room. The block of rooms will be held until July 1st.
• Poker Run - Ken Bretz is again chairing the Friday Poker Run. Let Ken or any of the officers know if you have a suggestion for a tour/event/activity during the run. Whiskey River is not available for dinner that evening so we are looking at other locations for dinner following the Poker Run. kbretz@isd.net or 952-447-6295.
• Bike Show & Awards - we will be using the new patch design for the 2008 Rally logo that we will incorporate into our awards.
• Registration Fees - We’ll keep both the Daily and Event-Long registration fees the same as last year. $35 per person pre-registration, $40 on-site per person, $15 individual day per person.

Old Business

• Membership Gift - It was decided to give a winged patch for our 2008 membership gift. Mike Hamann designed the patch modeled after the Factory winged patch. In the middle of the wings will be the red “X” with “Excelsior-Henderson” above and “Riders Club” below. It was decided to order 100 - 12 ¾” patches and 200 – 5 ¾” patches. The 5 ¾” patch will be given as the membership gift. Once we get the cost we will determine the purchase price should you want to buy the larger patch or additional small patches.

New Business

• Teri Peterson Party June 28th - Teri Peterson is having a party to celebrate a number of events including her 50th birthday and her moving to Arizona. She wants to invite all of the Super X owners. It’s happening on June 28th at the Crowne Plaza in Bloomington with a buffet at 7 PM and a band beginning at 8 PM. She is asking for a $35 donation to help defray the cost as well as an RSVP. HISTORICAL 1 & 2 CYLINDER CARS INVITE PARTICIPATION BY HISTORICAL MOTORCYCLES IN EXCELSIOR-HENDERSON OBSERVANCE

Organizers of the 25th Annual 1 & 2 Cylinder Car Tour are inviting participation by motorcycle historical enthusiasts in their tour June 21st. This tour is put on annually by owners of 1 and 2 cylinder, pre-1915 automobiles. The 3 day event will be headquartered at Emma Krumbies adjacent to the former E-H plant in Belle Plaine. It is hoped that 1 or more of the early twin motorcycles will join us for the Saturday June 21st portion of the event, where the day will start with ceremonies at the closed E-H plant around 8:00 A.M.
