Pioneer Chapter Meeting Minutes

Waz brought the meeting to order.
Treasurer’s Report –
Phil Ward
- Phil was not present so there was no Treasurer’s Report.
Membership Report – John Jones
- 2007 Membership - John Jones - 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN
56058-4361 is our membership chairman (email).
John reported membership was at 132. Our Membership Drive for 2008 will be
starting in January.
Rally 2008
- Dates for next years Rally have been set for July 9-13, 2008.
- We are tentatively planning Wednesday evening at Albert Lea again.
- Rooms have been blocked at the Le Sueur Downtown Motel, arriving
Thursday and departing Sunday, 507-665-6246, 510 North Main St. The rooms
are limited so I would suggest you call and reserve your room before they
are all booked up.
- John Jones is working on getting caterers for Thursday and Saturday. The
Friday evening dinner at St. Peter has worked out good so we’ll be doing
that again. Several other ideas have been discussed about making some
changes. We will keep you posted as things progress.
New Business
- 10 Years – 2009 will be our 10th Rally and also 10 years for
Excelsior-Henderson. It’s never too early to start thinking about it and
making plans.
- Nils Andersson has started making plans for a 10 Year Anniversary Rally
in Sweden the first weekend in June, 2009. If you are interested in
attending that Rally, contact Nils at neco@algonet.se
- Membership Gift for 2008 – If you have ideas, please let us know what
they are.
- Chapter Officer Nominations are Open - We will be electing a new
Director, a new Secretary, and a new Membership Chairman at the March 2008
meeting. Several names were mentioned at the meeting – Randy Schwandt for
Director, Buck Bailey for Secretary, Dennis Fredrickson and John Jones for
Membership Chairman. Not all of these people have accepted being on the
ballot so this may change. If you are interested or know a member that is
interested in running for office please let us know.

Next Meeting
- There will be no meeting in December. Our next get together will be for
a Holiday Party at
Waz’s on Saturday evening January 12th 2008 starting at 3PM. The Pioneer
Chapter will be providing hors d’oeuvres. Details: Rick Wawrzyniak, 4817
