Waz brought the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward

• Treasurer's Report - Phil Ward reported that all is well. Things went OK with Rally expenses. We should be in about the same shape as we were last year after the Rally financially. He also said that merchandise sales have been good. We have shirts on hand, but need to get patches. Contact Waz at rickwazz@comcast.net or call him at 763-374-1011 if you are interested in purchasing items from the Pioneer Chapter.

 Membership Report – John Jones

• 2007 Membership - John Jones - 301 N Main St, Le Sueur MN 56058-4361 is our membership chairman (email). John reported membership was at 132. Phil reported he had a couple memberships that hadn’t been entered yet.

  It was decided that anyone that pays dues after Jan 1 will get credit for that new year even though our membership runs from Mar 1 to Mar 1.

  It was also decided to change our membership to a family membership. That means anyone in the immediate family can participate in the Chapter activities. There will be only one vote with each membership. So for example, if both a husband and wife want to vote, each will be required to pay dues to become a voting member.

  2007 Membership Gift - License plate frames will be mailed in the near future to members that haven’t picked theirs up yet. If you want to purchase additional license plate frames they are available from Waz. Contact Waz at rickwazz@comcast.net  or call him at 763-374-1011. The cost is $5 for each addition frame, which includes mailing.

Rally 2007

• There were 72 paid registrations for the 2007 Rally. That is down a bit from last year. And, we didn’t get the additional attendance anticipated by having our Rally just before Sturgis.

  Plaques were awarded for several Classes:

  • Custom – Phil Marks
  • Open – Denny Frederickson
  • Stock – Steve Carty
  • Best Paint – Dave McQuitty
  • Best of Show – Denny Frederickson
  • Dyno Shootout – Tom Dunlap at 85.9 hp
  • Longest Ride In – Keith Kuhl rode to the Rally from Georgia.
  • Highest Mileage – Jumper at 57K (we also mention Wm J Vandenberg at 50K, he was very proud of reaching that point last month).

  There was discussion about the various events. All seemed to go quite well except the weather didn’t cooperate on Saturday as it rained all day.

Rally 2008

• Dates for next years Rally were discussed and it was decided to hold the Rally from July 9-13, 2008. It is planned to get the Downtown Motel in Le Sueur 100% blocked for our Rally. Several ideas were discussed about making some changes. We will keep you posted as things progress.

New Business

• Nominations are Open - We will be electing a new Director, a new Secretary, and a new Membership Chairman at the March 2008 meeting. If you are interested or know a member that is interested in running for office. Please let us know.

Next Meeting

•  American Legion at 200 Lilac Dr North, Golden Valley 763-377-4252, October 21st at 1 PM (map). Note the only food they have is pizzas.
