E-H Riders Club Meeting Minutes

The Bar, LeSueur, MN   

October 15, 2006

The meeting was brought to order by Rick Wawrzyniak.

The majority of the attendees rode their bikes to the meeting, leaving home when the temps were in the low 50s. They were all rewarded with a downright balmy 60-degree ride home.

Treasurer’s Report – Phil Ward

• In the last month we received dues from two members.
• We had the normal monthly expenses - web hosting and some shipping expenses.

 Membership Report – John Jones

• 157 members have renewed so far for 2006.

Old Business

• Merchandise - 2006 Membership Gift hats can be purchased for $15 each while supplies last if you want another one. Contact Waz if you are interested in hats or in other merchandise. Rick Wawrzyniak, 4817 Glenwood Ave, Golden Valley, MN 55422 or merchandise@ehridersclub.com.
• Phil received a letter of thanks from Ross Messick, Community Relations of the Cancer Society, thanking the Chapter for our donation.

Rally 2007

• Since the Poker Run is a very popular event, we should think about having a ride on Saturday in addition to the Poker Run. This would give those who can only attend Saturday an opportunity to ride with fellow EHers. Considering that we have other events earlier in the day, one possibility is that the ride may leave at noon, with the last destination being the Saturday evening meal.
• Dates - The 4th of July is on a Wednesday this year. Do we start the Rally on the 5th, putting the Albert Lea get-together on the 4th, or do we shift the Rally to the next week? This decision was tabled at this meeting. 

New Business

• Membership - For the seventh year, membership will remain at $20.  We need ideas for the 2007 membership gift. We've done t-shirts, hats, key fobs. One idea was an embossed plastic, adhesive-backed plaque with "EH Riders Club", an EH emblem, and possibly the member's VIN number on it. Please get any thoughts about other types of member gifts to any officer.
• Holiday Get-Together - We're going to avoid the holiday season (no December meeting), but instead we'll have a combination Membership Drive & 2007 Kick-Off Meeting (and party) on Saturday, January 13, 2007. Waz magnanimously offered his estate as the venue ... as long as all attendees depart by February.

Next Meeting

• The next meeting is November 19th, 1:00 PM, at The Bar, 130 South Main, LeSueur MN.
