Treasurer’s Report – Randy Schwandt

• Since the last meeting, we received dues from seven people. One member ordered a large Membership patch.

• Expenses were normal – December & January Web hosting at about $20 each month, the November meeting meal, and postage for the above member’s patch.

 Membership Report – Chuck Barsness

• We signed up and renewed several members in the last month, so 2006 is starting out with 15 members.

• Membership dues are due by March, and can be paid anytime.

Old Business

• Elections
  • Nominations are open for Treasurer (half-term, one year), Secretary, Director, and Membership Chair. Voting will be at the March meeting. So far, we’ve received the following nominations:
    • Director – Rick Wawrzyniak
    • Treasurer  – Phil Ward
    • Secretary – Chuck Barsness
    • Membership Chair – John Jones
  • Please send additional nominations via email or US Postal Mail to the Chapter Secretary so they arrive before the February meeting:

New Business

• Membership Gift – Each year, members get a gift from the Chapter. This year we’re looking at a hat with an X & Wing logo. We may also add the member’s VIN# and/or some type of recognition of Charter members. Mike Hamann will check out prices for different styles of hats, along with costs for these extras.

Rally 2006

• Waz and Phil will Co-Chair the Rally.
• The 2006 Rally will be July 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 at the LeSueur County Fairgrounds, LeCenter, MN (same place as last year).
• We need ideas for the 2006 Rally graphics for both the T-Shirt and the awards plaques. Ken Bretz (kbretz@isd.net) is the contact person for both.
• We haven’t produced Rally posters in a few years. We may explore this again.
• Chuck will be compiling the Rally Registration Brochure which is sent to all known contacts. Any new/updated information needs to go to him.
• In previous years, the “social time” listed on the Rally schedule gave no indication to attendees where others might be heading evenings after the Rally. This year, we’d like to set up default post-Rally meeting places. Here’s what we’ve thought of (certainly subject to change):
  • Thursday, July 6 – Lexington ( a few miles NNE of LeCenter)
  • Friday, July 7 -  Whiskey River, St. Peter
  • Saturday, July 8 – Li’l Dandy’s, a mile or so east of the fairgrounds.
• As far as we know, the Cancer Walk is Friday evening at the fairgrounds. We will try to get confirmation.
• It’s possible that we could include a tour of Schell’s Brewery in New Ulm as part of the Friday Poker Run, and maybe hold the lunch stop there. Ken Bretz will investigate.

Good of the Order

• There was a sighting of an old-time Super-X in the intro to the movie “The Greatest Game Ever Played”.
• Bruno Schilling, one of our longtime fellow riders from Switzerland, emailed Chuck and asked him to relay Greetings and Well Wishes for the New Year to the membership. If anyone is traveling to Europe, please ask Chuck for Bruno’s contact info!

Next Meeting

• The next meeting is February 19, 1:00 PM, location to be determined.
