Secretary's Report: Val Schwandt

Last month's minutes were approved as read.

Membership Report: Chuck Barsness

So far, 65 members have renewed their memberships. Last years membership numbered 178. Second notifications have been sent. Letters have been sent to past members. One more notice is planned to be sent out. Memberships run from March to March.

Pictures of membership pin samples were viewed. Estimates have been received. Pins will be ordered and are expected to be received by end of April. They will be available for pickup at the May meeting, and for those who don’t make the May meeting, the pins will be mailed.

Rally Business

Rally pins will be purchased, along with dog-bones for each rally year. Rally pens are also being investigated.

The club is seeking ideas for the Rally t-shirt design. When we have a design, Cappy will arrange to have the shirts printed.

The “X-Ride” will be dropped from the Rally name.

Randy will investigate purchasing liability insurance for our Rally.

Tentative schedule of events is as follows:

Rally ‘05

Club members discussed the authenticity of the year 2005 as the official 100th Anniversary of Excelsior-Henderson. An e-mail from Club Historian, Tim Leary, was shared with the members present. It was also noted that our EH Motorcycle manuals cite 1905 as the beginning of Excelsior Henderson. Based upon this information, Club members voted to accept ’05 as the official 100th year anniversary.

Old Business

The ride to Sturgis will leave Fri. a.m. from Belle Plaine or Le Sueur and will arrive in Sturgis Sat. afternoon. John will follow riders with a support vehicle. Everyone should make their own lodging arrangements. Chuck will have more details later.

New Business

The Club is working on accepting payments via credit card. Pay Pal was discussed as being easy, economical, and international. Randy and Evil Bob will work on setting up Pay Pal on the website.

Notice: Some bike parts being sold on E-Bay are thought to be over-priced. If you need parts, get a parts list (check with Phil) or talk to John Jones.

We discussed purchasing a display case to exhibit memorabilia, etc. at our clubhouse, John’s Repair. It should be a locked glass case. Mark “Felix” Mattson will investigate. Any member will be encouraged to display their memorabilia, etc.
